A bad day :(

more than a month back, i started discussing with the college about me taking a break during kine coz i had to go to male' ... during that time.. twice the time table had changed.. and yeah ! thelast time it changed they gave me assurance that it will not change anymore... so with that in mind.. i was gonna take my break during the maya module of our course.. so i did the module last month with our senior batch as well. so that ill be free when our batch do the same module. everything was fine, took the tickets.. UNTIL.. i went to col today to find out that the time table has changed YET AGAIN :@ .. was so furious i went and met my course co-ordinator even.. hehe... unfortunately they have no remedy it seems :) but since i will be missing another module during my hoidays they have told me i can do it after i come back... or maybe i study on my own and just do the examination and the project as well but even still they have tiny problems it seems.. which i dont know... i dont mind anythign.. so hopefully it would be settled oneway or another.. they havent given me their final decision yet, but i told them i have given them mine :D .. so lets see.. hope to see most of u guys soon in male' ...

NO this is not the nequel to minority reportm i just wanted to share this portal with everyone. im someone who reads the news and update myself with everythign thats been happening quite often.. but places like BBC,CNN, FOX, DAILY MIRROR ven though the names ae household names.. the content is too biased.. but drudgereport provides the most recent headlines from real goood news sources and pretty reliable as well. Conspiracy to block lockforum.NET

today i got news from a friend that there have been some poeple practically BEGGING the information ministry to block lockforum.net through dhiraagu and focus. An official review on the website was done for that reason and the results came out negative.hehe. seems like there is nothing to ban lockforum.net . i thank the poeple who did the reviewing for supporting us and our work to maintain a strong maldivian online community.and to the poeple who have problems with lockforum.NET please let us know of the problems in there so we can correct our mistakes.

p.s :: i do believe this is the 2nd or 3rd review on lockforum.NET :P

aafathis affliated with BBC,CNN,FOX,MSN?

i was just browsing through www.afathisnews.com.mv (most famous maldivian website :D) and my eye caught the right side of the page.. MAIL SERVICES? LINKS? . well i do not have a problem with it actually except what comes underneath that. BBC?CNN?FOX. who cares. instead of that wouldnt it have ben better to put links to other maldivian websites. even in the links part, who wants to sign in to .NET passport through this or join yahoo website. doesnt make any sence to me.
maybe its an affliated programme where they say u link us we dont link u :p

on the contrary, maybe this is what makes the site the most famous website of all.. congratulations for that. but i still prefer www.haveeru.com.mv and i do believe aafathis is not even CLOSE to haveeru .

12 more days to go for Euro. fiesta in maldives i guess. Soccer hooligans everywhere :) and yes i am not excluding maldives. here are just a bunch of soccer hooligans you should keep a watch out for during Euro. not many of my friends are soccer fans, so lucky for them. all others keep a watch out for these guys!

FORUMS, a curse on the society?

www.lockforum.net, www.kk4rum.com,the late www.balaaboduforum.com and a string of other forums have been one of the most popular websites in maldives lately. im sure there are very few who havent peeped in to take a look at it. but why? its simple.. there are pictures of maldivians in there :)
ok now u would be saying ' d0t, bahakaa amalakaa dhima eh nuveyey" .. yes in a way its true.. i try manage lockforum.NET and YES there are pictures there as well. but is this right? should we depend our gain on someone elses loss?i mean who would want their picture taken while coming home from office, or sitting with a bunch of friends at a coffee shop, walking on the road with their loved ones, enjoying themselves at a picnic in kudabandos to be posted without their knowledge for everyone else to see and comment on them? defamation isnt it? i certainly think so. should there be a law to stop this? or poeple should come to their common sence and stop this? or should forums ban posting any pictures?

hehe.. not bad huh? the site is full of crap to be frank. yes i applaud seaxan for having the guts to come up with this, but i do believe this is how we will view maldivian superstars :) and how cool that it even had won an internet golden globe award i shud say( a big WOWWWW), so seaxan shud be proud of himself. and all maldivins shoud be really proud of him as well . hahaha

Mostly because www.aafathisnews.com.mv, a mediocre news website was given the award for the "Most Popular Website". Some claimed that, it was more likely that either haveeru.com.mv(won the award twice) or lockforum.net(a popular maldivian forum) to be the winners of this contest. My suggestion? Well, please respect the votes of your likely customers, it's a Good Thing™.

it is a common fact that maldives does not have a good prospect for poeple with creative idears from the multimedia perspective.maybe at the moment. but can this change? the community is getting flooded with IT specialists, computer programmers, network engineers, but how often are the true talents of a person with creative idears in the multimedia field are brough up and shown to the community? apart from web designing and graphic designing there is nothing much happening at the moment. what about animators, what about digital film makers, what aboutvisual effect personals, what about audio engineers, what about gaming( not playing :P) , etc.. is there a future for poeple with such creativity and knowledge? most of the poeple might say NO, but i do believe there can be a future for poeple in the visual and creative side of computing.
